IDP Waiver Wire Pickups Wk 2: Roster Help

The first week of the IDP fantasy football season is in and some fantasy options had huge games while others disappointed. One player who posted a big day was Redskins safety Laron Landry as he had seventeen total tackles against the Cowboys.

Landry should have a great season as the Redskins are now in a 3-4 defense, and they will need him to make plays all year.

Another player who played decent but won't be with us for a little while is Bills inside linebackers Paul Posluszny as he suffered a sprained MCL against the Dolphins and will be out. This is unfortunate as POZ was projected to have a huge season.

Once again, it goes to show you that a fantasy owner can have a good draft and get productive players but injuries can make you scramble to the IDP waiver wire.

Week Two IDP Waiver Wire Pickups

Linebackers

Derrick Johnson: The Chiefs inside linebacker Derrick Johnson needed a good performance to keep his starting job (lost it last year), and he did just that with a 12 tackle performance against the Chargers. Johnson also included a forced fumble in the game and was a clear play maker for Kansas City in their victory against the Chargers.

Zac Diles: The Texans are without Brian Cushing for a few more weeks and linebacker Zac Diles should continue to see an up tick in numbers for your squad. Week one, Diles posted twelve tackles against the Colts and he should post another fine total this week against the Redskins.

Andra Davis: With Paul Posluszny out for at least a few weeks' offenses are going to test the Bills rush defense even more. Since the Bills have no strong option to play with Andra Davis on the inside, he should make for at least decent depth for your IDP squad.
